Each year, following the annual meeting, the board should develop and publish an annual board calendar and publish this information on the board’s website. The calendar should provide information about board activities and anticipated timelines for when board responsibilities will be addressed.

The purpose of the calendar is to allow for planning associated with board meeting agenda development. Cyclical board functions that occur annually (e.g., Evaluation of Executive Director) or more frequently (e.g., review of financial documents) should be identified and scheduled well ahead of time to allow time for adequate preparation.
